General camp information

A typical day at winter camp

  • Camp begins every day at our Educational center. A week at Winter camp includes exercise, prayer, fun food, arts and craft, special activities, daily trips, and of course the exciting atmosphere of Gan Israel.

Our Mission

  • Gan Israel Winter Camp is a program designed to strengthen the body and the soul. It will provide your child with a rich and wholesome winter vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experience.

Staff

  • Every counselor is carefully selected for their personal warmth, sensitivity and ability to connect to each child.  We have a ratio of 1 staff member for 7 campers. All staff members have prior experience working in summer camps.

Trips

  • Trips take place on a daily basis. Children are kept in groups all on trips and have a special wristband with our camp phone number. Rabbi Mendel Stiefel will accompany the campers and staff on all trips. (We will let you know if there is another chaperone taking over for Rabbi Mendel any of the days.)
